Welcome to the Village of Hensall, The White Bean Capitol of Canada and home to Canada’s largest inland granary!

Hensall is a great place to live, work and raise a family.  Located in the heart of Huron County, Hensall is only 15 minutes from the shores of Lake Huron and only 40 minutes from the city of London and town of Stratford.  Hensall is a highly engaged community whose many community members and volunteers host multiple events throughout the year including; The Village Wide Yard Sale and the Fireman’s Breakfast!

World Class Agriculture

Firmly rooted in the heart of Huron County’s rich agricultural land, Hensall is home to two large processing facilities: Sylvite and Hensall Co-op. Here, thousands of tons of beans are annually processed, packaged and shipped globally.

Hensall’s stature as the White Bean Capital of Canada is built on growth and development that began in the 1800s with traditional farming methods. Today, of course, state-of-the-art technology is what keeps us competitive and enables us to help feed the world!

Tourism and Recreation

Hensall is more than world-class agriculture.  We’re close to the recreational joys of sparkling Lake Huron with its boating, fishing and beach attractions. Pinery Provincial Park offers some of Ontario’s best year-round camping and other exhilarating outdoor activities. Flea markets, farmers’ markets, restaurants and art galleries abound along ‘Ontario’s West Coast’ ~ and when you visit Hensall, you’re only half an hour away from renowned live theatre in Stratford, Blyth, Grand Bend!
